THE ART WORK

ARTIST'S STATEMENT

My artwork has always been as much about who I am as what I see, and it exists somewhere in the realm between imagination and objective reality. Even the landscapes I create are drawn from nature, but informed by the abstract quality that lies within. I find there is magic within the intricate entanglement of tree limbs and in the shimmering quality of rocks under water; a certain alchemy in things half seen.  I seek the essence of what lies beneath the illusion of everyday objects.
